Hanoi (VNA) – The State Bank ofVietnam set the daily reference exchange rate at 23,197 VND/USD on December 17,up 2 VND from the previous day.

With the current trading band of +/- 3 percent, the ceilingrate applicable to commercial banks during the day is 23,897 VND/USD and thefloor rate 22,502 VND/USD.

The opening-hour rates listed at commercial banks sawincreases.

At 8:30am, Vietcombank listed the buying rateat 22,880 VND/USD and the selling rate at 23,150 VND/USD, both up 20 VND fromDecember 16.

Meanwhile, BIDV cut the buying rate by 35 VND andraised the selling rate by 5 VND, listing at 22,905 VND/USD and 23,150 VND/USD,respectively./.
