Hanoi (VNA)– The State Bank of Vietnam set its reference VND/USD exchange rate at 22,455 VND/USDon the morning of March 23, up by 3 VND from the day ago.
With the current +/- 3 percent VND/USD trading band, the ceiling exchange rateis 23,133 VND per USD and the floor rate is 21,789 VND per USD.
Major commercial banks made big changes to their rates.
Vietcombank increased its rates by 15 VND to 22,750 VND (buying) and 22,820 VND(selling), per USD.
BIDV raised its rates by 10 VND to 22,745 VND (buying), and 22,815 VND(selling), per USD.
Meanwhile, Vietinbank raised its rates by 10 VND, offering 22,751 VND (buying)and 22,821 VND (selling), per USD.-VNA
The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate at 22,455 VND/USD on March 19, up 10 VND from the last day of previous week (March 16).
