Reference exchange rate up on September 17

The State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) set the daily reference exchange rate at 23,135 VND per USD on September 17, up 5 VND from the previous day (September 16).

Hanoi (VNA) - The State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) set the dailyreference exchange rate at 23,135 VND per USD on September 17, up 5 VND fromthe previous day (September 16).

With thecurrent trading band of  +/- 3 percent, the ceiling rate applied to commercialbanks during the day is 23,829 VND per USD and the floor rate at 22,441VND/USD.

The opening hour rates at commercial banks increased.

At 8:15 am,Vietcombank listed the buying rate at 23,135 VND/USD and the selling rate at23,285 VND/USD, both up 10 VND from September 16.

The rates atBIDV were adjusted up 25 VND to 23,180 VND/USD (buying) and 23,330 VND/USD(selling).

Techcombank also added 4 VND to both rates, listing the buying rate at 23,187VND/USD and the selling rate at 23,269 VND/USD./.

Under a draft to amend and supplement the Government's Decree 125/2020/ND-CP on administrative sanctions for violations of tax and invoice regulations, the Ministry of Finance has proposed classifying the failure to issue invoices into five different levels. Infraction levels will correspond to fines of 1 million VND to 80 million VND, depending on the nature and number of invoicing violations.
