Religion highlighted in central coastal region

The Government’s Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) on Dec.7 convened a conference reviewing religious work in 12 central coastal cities and provinces.

Pham Huy Tho, GCRA’s DeputyHead asked religious committees of the cities and provinces, from ThanhHoa to Khanh Hoa, to closely work with agencies, departments andlocalities in information and communication works as well as lawdissemination, creating favourable conditions for lawful regionsactivities.

Representatives of the religiouscommittees said lawful religious activities had helped followersstabilize their lives and uphold the guideline of “good life, goodregion”.

The participants asked the government andthe GCRA to issue new regulations regarding religion, helping religiousorganizations and followers improve knowledge about law and raisenon-religious people’s awareness of religion./.

“I Love My Country” media campaign launched

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.

With a tight 13-month deadline, the move is under a strategic and urgent policy to bridge educational gaps, train the local workforce, and shore up territorial sovereignty in some of the country’s most remote areas.
