The ministry was required to transfer the stock to Laos inaccordance with legal regulations.
Some 82,460families with 236,188 people in 79 districts of 14 provinces of Laos wereaffected by floods after tropical storms Son Tinh and Bebinca broughttorrential rains from the middle of July to the middle of August.
Flooding causedby the storms left at least 46 dead, 97 missing, and four injured in theneighbouring country.-VNA
Unrelenting rain has caused severe flooding in central Bolikhamxay province of Laos with some areas left submerged under water as high as 2 metres after the downpour.
Separate lanes have been opened for vehicles travelling through Lao Bao – Dansavanh border crossing that connects the central province of Quang Tri and Laos’ Savannakhet province as long queues of vehicles have remained there for days.
