RoK firms honnoured for social activities

Six enterprises of the Republic of Korea (RoK) investing in Vietnam were honoured at a ceremony in Ho Chi Minh City on December 4 for their outstanding performance in corporate social responsibility (CSR).
Six enterprises of the Republic of Korea (RoK) investing in Vietnam werehonoured at a ceremony in Ho Chi Minh City on December 4 for theiroutstanding performance in corporate social responsibility (CSR).

The CSR award, the third of its kind, was launched by the Commercial Affair Office under the RoK Consulate General.

The awardees include the Hansae Group and Hwaseung Vina Co., Ltd,which have been recognised as the most excellent firms for CSRactivities. They also received certificates of merit from the VietnameseMinister of Planning and Investment and the RoK Minister of Trade,Industry and Energy.

The others are the Eland JSC, Hyun DaeChemical Co, Posco Co., Ltd and CJ Group, which have receivedcertificates of merit from the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency(KOTRA) and the RoK Embassy in Vietnam.

Addressing theevent, Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Van Trung saidVietnam commits to accompanying RoK enterprises in economic development,environmental protection and sustainable growth in general.

Presently, nearly 2,800 RoK enterprises have invested in over 3,800projects in Vietnam with a total capital exceeding 28 billion USD,elevating the RoK to the third place among over 100 countries andterritories investing in the Southeast Asian country.-VNA

Under a draft to amend and supplement the Government's Decree 125/2020/ND-CP on administrative sanctions for violations of tax and invoice regulations, the Ministry of Finance has proposed classifying the failure to issue invoices into five different levels. Infraction levels will correspond to fines of 1 million VND to 80 million VND, depending on the nature and number of invoicing violations.
