RoK helps Vietnam develop qualification management system

Hanoi (VNA) –
The Directorate of Vocational Education and Training (DVET)and the Human Resources Development Service of Korea (HRD) on November 6 signeda Memorandum of Understanding for establishing a qualification management andoperation system, namely Q-Net, in Vietnam.

The Ministryof Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs has issued a set of nationaloccupational skill standards and established the skill certification system while fostering international cooperation to developthese systems. However, information technology has not been applied inthe system, making it unable to meet increasing demand in the field.

The newly-signedMoU aimed to help Vietnam enhance the use of information technology andnew advanced technologies in testing and certificating occupational skills ofthe domestic workforce, and further develop the national skill evaluation andcertification system and vocational education in the country./.
