RoK organisation donates medical supplies, goods to Vietnam

Hanoi (VNA) – An online ceremony was held on November 5 to receive 500,000 KF94 masks and 200 packages of shoes forchildren donated by the Republic of Korea (RoK)’s G-Foundation SocialCooperative Union to Vietnam.
The event was attended by Vietnamese Ambassador to the RoK Nguyen VuTung and representatives of G-Foundation Social Cooperative Union from Seoul, and Vice Chairman ofthe State Committee on Overseas Vietnamese Affairs Ngo Huong Nam, andrepresentatives of Steve Bui & Friends Foundation from Hanoi.
Vietnamese Ambassador to the RoK Nguyen Vu Tung thanked theRoK donor for the support, and pledged to deliver the assistance tobeneficiaries as soon as possible.
He also expressed hope to continue to receive more supportand cooperation from G-Foundation Social Cooperative Union and otherinternational organisations.
At the ceremony, Chungkwan Park, Founder and President ofthe G-Foundation Social Cooperative Union, and Steve Bui- President of the SteveBui & Friends Foundation, signed an agreement between the two organisationson the reception and distribution of charity aid in Vietnam.
The Seoul-based G-Foundation Social Cooperative Union focuses on charity activities to support poor households and communities indeveloping countries. Meanwhile, Steve Bui & Friends Foundation, founded bySteve Bui, an overseas Vietnamese in Japan, has been supporting frontline forces in the COVID-19 fight in Vietnam./.
The Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Committee in Ho Chi Minh City received medical equipment and supplies worth nearly 6 billion VND (260,000 USD) donated by the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in the city and members of the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry on October 11.
