Saxophonist Tran Manh Tuan to perform Valentine special on street

Vietnam's renowned jazz saxophonist Tran Manh Tuan, and his Saigon Big Band, will perform in front of the Bitexco Financial Tower at the corner of Ho Tung Mau and Hai Trieu streets at 5pm on February 13 in Ho Chi Minh City to celebrate Valentine's Day.

This Love and Jazz concert is being held to bring street style events closer to Vietnamese, the organisers said.

The audience will have a chance to listen to the sweet melodies ofCareless Whisper, Nothing's Gonna Change My Love for You and Hello,apart from other love songs such as They Can't Take that Away from Me,All of Me, and Moondance, among others.

Well-known jazzsingers such as Tuyet Loan, Minh Tuan, Jackie Nijne and youngsaxophonist An Tran, Tuan's daughter, will be among the guest singers atthe performance.-VNA

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.

With a tight 13-month deadline, the move is under a strategic and urgent policy to bridge educational gaps, train the local workforce, and shore up territorial sovereignty in some of the country’s most remote areas.
