Scholarships awarded for 370 poor students

As many as 370 outstanding high school and university students who are from poor families were presented with KF-Samsung Scholarships on December 5.

The scholarships were funded by Samsung Vina Electronics Co., Ltd via the Korean Foundation for International Exchange.

Among the recipients, 220 undergraduates received scholarships worth200 USD each while each scholarship for high school students was worth100 USD.

Electronics manufacturer Samsung has endowed 1 millionUSD to an education exchange programme, including the KF-Samsungscholarship fund administered by the Korean Foundation for InternationalExchange since 1995. The fund has awarded 2,341 scholarships forVietnamese students so far.-VNA

“I Love My Country” media campaign launched

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.

With a tight 13-month deadline, the move is under a strategic and urgent policy to bridge educational gaps, train the local workforce, and shore up territorial sovereignty in some of the country’s most remote areas.
