SEA Games 29: Vietnam ranked fourth in medal tally

As of August 20, Vietnam was ranked fourth in the medal tally at the ongoing SEA Games 29 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

KualaLumpur (VNA) – As of August 20, Vietnam was ranked fourth inthe medal tally at the ongoing SEA Games 29 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Theranking was secured after the Vietnamese team winning four gold medals inwushu, archery and gymnastics. 





The country also secured three silver and two bronze medals after two days into the games.
 
Malaysiaremained at top of the tally with 16 gold, 12 silver and 9 bronze medals, followedby Singapore (6 gold, 7 silver and 6 bronze medals) and Thailand (4 gold, 4silver and 5 bronze medals).

Bruneiand Cambodia were at the bottom of the list with 4 and 3 bronze medalsrespectively, while Timor Leste was yet to seize any medal.

Vietnamsent more than 470 athletes to compete at the Games from August 19-30. They arescheduled to take part in 32 out of 38 sports and set to bring home 49-59 goldmedals to rank in the top three.-VNA

Vietnam take silver in AFF U19 Final
