Series of garment, textile exhibitions open in HCM City

HCM City (VNA) – A series of exhibitions in the textile and apparel sector simultaneously opened at Saigon Exhibition and Convention Centre (SECC) in Ho Chi Minh City on September 25.

They include the Vietnam International Textile and Garment Industry Exhibition (VTG), the Vietnam International Textile and Apparel Accessories Exhibition (VITATEX), the Vietnam International Dyeing & Chemical Industry Exhibition (DYECHEM), and the Vietnam International Footwear Machinery and Material Exhibition 2024 (VFM).

These exhibitions comprise of over 580 booths of 380 businesses from 10 nations and territories such as China, India, Japan, Pakistan, Singapore, the Republic of Korea, Thailand, and Vietnam.

Exhibitors focus on showcasing the latest products and advanced machinery and technology in the apparel and textile industry, aimed at digitising factories and facilitating digital transformation in this sector to meet the diverse fabric demands of today's market.

Additionally, it is an opportunity for the business community to update information and new trends in both domestic and global markets.

ꦉ According to the Vietnam National Textile and Garment Group (VINATEX), during the four-day events, there are seminars on technological advancement, automation, and sustainability in the Vietnamese textile and garment industry, as well as the circular economy, sustainable development, and global supply chain integration. Vietnam’s economic outlook for the footwear industry, and strategies to improve the value of the textile and garment industry through high-impact fabric supply chains are important topics to be undertaken at this time./.
