Shanghai World Expo opens to public

About 500,000 entrance tickets had been sold out right on the openingday, organisers said.

The expo kicked off in the evening of April 30 and was marked byperformances of world’s well-known artists, including Italian operasinger Andrea Bocelli, Hong Kong’s action movie actor Jackie Chan andChinese piano prodigy Lang Lang.

Themed “ Better City , Better Life,” the expo, which draws theparticipation of 189 countries, focuses on the changes and potential ofurban life in the 21 st century.

Vietnam’s stall at the expo, themed “1,000 years of ThangLong-Hanoi,” features Hanoi's symbolic construction works andincludes an area showcasing items of the country’s three major ancientculture: Dong Son, Sa Huynh and Oc Eo.

It also comprises of areas promoting Vietnam’s cultural heritagewith focus on Ha Long Bay, UNESCO recognised world’s natural heritage.

The exhibition is expected to attract 70 million visitors./.

Under a draft to amend and supplement the Government's Decree 125/2020/ND-CP on administrative sanctions for violations of tax and invoice regulations, the Ministry of Finance has proposed classifying the failure to issue invoices into five different levels. Infraction levels will correspond to fines of 1 million VND to 80 million VND, depending on the nature and number of invoicing violations.
