Singaporean firms sign deal to invest in Indonesia’s new capital

Indonesia’s Nusantara National Capital City Authority (OIKN) has recently signed a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) with Singapore’s State Power Investment Cooperation (SPIC) and JOE Green Pte Ltd of Singapore.
Jakarta (VNA) – Indonesia’s Nusantara NationalCapital City Authority (OIKN) has recently signed a non-disclosure agreement(NDA) with Singapore’s State Power Investment Cooperation (SPIC) and JOE GreenPte Ltd of Singapore.

The pact was signed concerning the Nusantara Capital City(IKN) development project.

The two companies, which work on renewable energy and wastemanagement, match the OIKN’s top priority sectors. IKN aims to build up to 7.16gigawatts of renewable energy power to meet the needs of the 1.9-billionpopulation in 2045.

The new capital will be about 2,000 km northeast of Jakarta. After the capitalis moved to Nusantara, Jakarta will still be the financial and commercialcentre of Indonesia./.
