Hanoi (VNA) – The sixth plenum of the13th Party Central Committee opened in Hanoi on October 3 under the chair ofGeneral Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.

The participants will opine and make decisions onreports and projects on major issues relating to the country’s socio-economicsituation and state budget in 2022, the socio-economic development plan andstate budget estimate for 2023, and the state finance-budget plan from 2023 to2025.

They will also look into orientations for thenational master plan in 2021-2030, with a vision towards 2050, the cause ofnational industrialisation and modernisation by 2030 with a vision towards2045, and the building and perfection of a rule-of-law socialist State in thenew period.

The committee is scheduled to review the 15-year implementationof the resolution adopted at the fifth plenum of the 10th PartyCentral Committee on further reshuffling the Party leadership over operationsof the entire political system, and discuss other important issues.

The meeting is intended to basically complete theimplementation of major tasks and contents set in resolutions of the 13th National Party Congress.

It will last until October 9./.
