Ho Chi MinhCity (VNA) – The Futsal HD Bank Championship Southeast Asia 2019will be held at Phu Tho Stadium in Ho Chi Minh City from October 21 – 27.
The tournamentwill include eight national teams which are divided into two groups and willcompete in a round robin format, heard a press conference on October 13. Twoleading teams from each group will enter the semi-final round.
The tournamentserves as a qualifying round for the Asian Futsal Championship 2020. The threetop teams of the tournament will be eligible to directly enter the championship
The Vietnamese team is inGroup B with Australia, Indonesia and Malaysia, while the other group includesThailand, Myanmar, Timor Leste and Cambodia.
This is the fourth timethat Vietnam has hosted the tournament, which is being held byVOV and Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), and sponsored by HD Bank.
This is the second timethat HD Bank has been the tournament’s sponsor. In September, HD Bankand the tournament's organising board held the NationalFutsal Championship.
Thetournament’s opener between Thailand and Cambodia will start at 11:00am onOctober 21 and the opening ceremony is scheduled at 6:30pm the same day./.
