Hanoi (VNA) – Foreign Ministry spokesperson LeThi Thu Hang on October 25 once again stressed Vietnam’s request for relevantparties not to repeat violations of the country’s waters while answeringreporters’ question regarding a group of Chinese ships’ withdrawal fromVietnam’s exclusive economic zone and continental shelf.
Responding to the question about the Chinesesurvey vessel Haiyang Dizhi 8 and its escort ships’ exit from Vietnam’sexclusive economic zone and continental shelf, the spokesperson noted Vietnamhas repeatedly stated that all activities that are not permitted by theVietnamese Government in the Vietnamese waters which are designated in linewith the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea violate thecountry’s sovereign rights and jurisdiction.
