Sports exchange promotes solidarity among OVs in RoK

Hanoi (VNA) - Hundreds of athletes from the Vietnamesecommunity living and working in the Republic of Korea joined a sports exchange inOsan city, Kyeonggi on May 5.
The event, the second of its kind exchange held in the RoK, was organised bythe Vietnamese People’s Association (VPA) in the RoK.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Chairman of the VPA Nguyen Ngoc Cam highlightedthe significance of the event, saying that it aims to promote solidarity among theVietnamese community living in the RoK, and enhance exchange between the Vietnameseexpatriates and locals.
Cao Minh Duc from the Vietnamese Embassy in the RoK thanked the Osan authority fortheir facilitation to the organisation of the event, while appreciating effortsmade by the VPA in organising the meaningful playground.
On the occasion, the Vietnamese Embassy in the RoK and the VPA Executive Boardpresented insignias and certificates of merit to many outstanding individuals inrecognition of their contributions to the community work in the host country.-VNA
