Hanoi (VNA) – The Prime M꧒inister has submitted a proposal to the StatePresident on presenting gifts to people who made contributions to the revolution onthe occasion of the upcoming Lunar New Year (Tet) with a total value of nearly518 billion VND (ov⛦er 22.4 million USD).

Beneficiarieswill include those who engaged in revolutionary activities, and people who arehonoured as Heroic Vietnamese Mother, Hero of the Armed Forces and Labour Heroin the resistance war period.  War invalids losing at least 81 percent ofworking capability, along with resistance war veterans who were contaminatedwith chemical toxics and lost 81 percent or more of work capability, othercontributors to the revolution, martyrs’ families, and those worshippingmartyrs are also expected to benefit from this proposed plan under certaincriteria. Presenting Tet gifts to revolutioncontributors has become an annual tradition demonstrating the State andpeople’s gratitude to the ones who dedicated to the struggle for nationalindependence and reunification./.
