Stronger efforts requested in international integration

Within 2015, relevant bodies shouldenhance human resource capacity and foster close connections amonginterdisciplinary steering committees and central and local agencies inimplementing international integration activities, he urged.

The PM required ministries and localities to design their ownintegration strategy, ensuring dedication and concentrated effort in theundertaking.

He assigned the Foreign Ministry todevise Prime ministerial guidelines on the implementation of thePolitburo’s resolution on international integration serving nationalindustrialisation, modernisation and sustainable development to besubmitted to the PM in April, as well as drafting a proposal onpersonnel training and sending Vietnamese representatives tointernational organisations.

The Government leaderalso asked for the acceleration of negotiations on free trade agreementsto facilitate the signing of a number of deals this year, includingthose between Vietnam and the European Union, the Republic of Korea, theEurasian Economic Union.

Meanwhile, he requestedstronger engagement of ministries and localities in ASEAN economiccooperation mechanisms through all-level meetings with a focus onbuilding the ASEAN Economic Community in 2015.

Atthe same time, the Ministry of Information and Communication has beenasked to propose communication plans for major international integrationevents in this April.

PM Nguyen Tan Dung also urgedministries and localities to continue popularising internationalintegration while strengthening business dialogues and ensuring thatprocess benefits all enterprises and people.-VNA
