Students from Hanoi universities had an opportunity to act as National Assembly deputies in a plenary session to discuss and approve a resolution on addressing occupations for university graduates.
Students from Hanoi universities had an opportunity to act as NationalAssembly deputies in a plenary session to discuss and approve aresolution on addressing occupations for university graduates. The event was held in Hanoi on March 13 as part of a cooperativeproject between the NA Office and the UK Embassy in Vietnam to drawyouth attention to parliamentary activities, said Vice Chairman of theNA Office Nguyen Si Dung.
The session was attendedby students from the Hanoi Law University, Hanoi Open University, andAcademy of Journalism and Communication. In January ,students also held a mock meeting of the NA Committee on SocialAffairs, debating policies and legal documents for graduate occupations. UK Ambassador to Vietnam Giles Lever said theprogrammes give the youth insight into the monitoring role of theNational Assembly and the accountability of the Government on socialissues while raising their understanding of policymaking and protectingadolescent interests.-VNA
