Hanoi (VNA) – The top leaders of Vietnam onSeptember 11 offered sympathies to Cuba on big losses caused by hurricane Irmain the Caribbean country.

The sympathies were sent by Party GeneralSecretary Nguyen Phu Trong, President Tran Dai Quang and Prime Minister NguyenXuan Phuc to Raul Castro Ruz – First Secretary of the Communist Party of CubaCentral Committee, President of the Council of State and President of the Councilof Ministers of Cuba.

Cuban media reported on September 10 that Irma,the strongest hurricane ever recorded in the Atlantic Ocean, affected alllocalities but did not cause human losses in the country.

Power was shut off in big cities of Cuba, includingHavana capital, as the hurricane left down trees and power lines.-VNA
