Tay Ninh strives to eliminate temporary houses by Q2

Tay Ninh (VNA) - Tay Ninh province is accelerating the construction and renova💖tion of houses for poor and near-poor households, revolution contributors, and families of fallen soldiers, ensuring that the works are completed by April 30, with the remaining cases finalised in Q2.

In 2025, the southwestern province plans to rebuild or renovate 567 houses under its temporary housing eradication plan, including 443 new constructions and 124 repairs, with an estimated budget of over 44.8 billion VND (1.75 million USD).
To date, the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee's Standing Board has allocated funds for 451 houses, totaling over 30 billion VND. Of these, 384 new houses and 67 repairs are underway, with 76 homes already completed and handed over. The province has repaired 113 houses, including 67 for households meeting national poverty standards and 46 under the provincial criteria. As of February 19, donors have pledged to donate 37.96 billion VND to the initiative, with 36.7 billion VND already transferred to the “For the Poor” Fund, reaching 96.68% of the target. Tay Ninh currently has 1,486 poor and near-poor households based on multi-dimensional poverty standards, including 752 in urgent need of housing support./.
