Ten rural bridges put into use in Tay Ninh province

Tay Ninh (VNA) – The southern province of Tay Ninh recently putinto use 10 bridges after one year of construction, facilitating the travel ofpeople in rural, remote and mountainous areas.

The bridges were built in the six districts of Tan Bien, Tan Chau, Chau Thanh,Duong Minh Chau, Go Dau, and Hoa Thanh at the total cost of 15 billion VND (646,600USD).

These are among the 28 bridges constructed in the province with a total capitalof 56.04 billion VND (2.42 million USD), sourced from the Local BridgeConstruction and Road Asset Management (LRAMP) project for the 2016-2021 period,which was approved by the government and the Ministry of Transport.

According to Do Hoang Chuong, director of the province’s management board forinvestment projects and construction, 18 remaining bridges in the project willbe built in the locality in 2019.

The LRAMP project has total funds ofnearly 409 million USD in loans from the World Bank.

Under the project, 2,000 bridges are being builtin 50 provinces and cities across the nation from 2016-2020. –VNA

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.
