Hanoi (VNA) – Airlines have offered a number of🦩 promotional programmes as well as increasing more flights in order to serve demand on the occasion of the Lunar New Year (Tet) holiday.

According to Phan Manh Tung, Director of the Nam Phuong Travel Service Company, the supply of air tickets this year is more plentiful than previous Tets. The low cost airline Vietjet Air said that the company added about 800 flights with 150,000 tickets for the occasion.
However, the carrier’s representatives said that air tickets for the flights from HCM City to Da Nang, Binh Dinh, Hue, and Hai Phong are running out. Meanwhile, the national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines also announced an increase of 800 flights with 136,000 seats on 22 domestic and international routes. Domestic flights from Ho Chi Minh City to other provinces and cities have been nearly fully booked. There are still a number of unsold tickets for flights which depart from the northern region.
Vietnam Airlines’ passengers from HCM City now have only the choice of booking business class tickets because economy class ones have run out. In order to better serve customers, the airlines have pledged to increase the number of staff service booths in support passengers. They also launched online check-in services to help passengers save time at airports. Passengers are also advised to plan their schedules carefully.-VNA
