Thai princess visits central Quang Nam province

ViceChairman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Chin hailed theprincess’ visit as an opportunity to bolster the cooperative tiesbetween the two countries in general and between Quang Nam and Thaipartners in particular.

Quang Nam is home to three projects run by Thai investors with a total investment of 13 million USD.

Taking advantage of the road running from Thailand’s Ubon Ratchathaniprovince through southern Laos to Quang Nam’s Nam Giang border gate, theprovince has been working with Thai partners on several projects intourism, service, agriculture and forestry as well as trade andinvestment promotion.

In addition, Quang NamUniversity and Thailand’s Ubon Rathachani Rajabhat university havesigned a cooperation memorandum.

Princess MahaChakri Siridhom said her visit to Quang Nam aims to study the strengthof the locality, particularly its ways to protect the environment andheritage.

The princess took the occasion to tourthe ancient streets and historical-cultural relics in the WorldHeritage site of Hoi An./.

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.

With a tight 13-month deadline, the move is under a strategic and urgent policy to bridge educational gaps, train the local workforce, and shore up territorial sovereignty in some of the country’s most remote areas.
