Bangkok (NNT/VNA) - Schools and fishing activity in southern Songkhlaprovince are returning to normal following Tropical Storm Pabuk.

Vessels, large and small, at Songkha Pier have begun loading their boats withice tanks, fishing equipment and crew supplies after winds and ocean conditionsreturned to normal. Meanwhile, over 200 schools in the province's 1st and 3rdeducational district, which temporarily closed during the storm, are now backin session to catch up with lost school time.

In Nakhon Si Thammarat province, the Shipbuilding Industry and TechnologyCollege, which has served as a shelter during the storm, is handing out 2,000sets of food and water to evacuees and has dispatched a mobile food truck andplumbing vehicle to the surrounding area.

In Prachuap Khiri Khan province, volunteers from His Majesty the King'sAltruistic Heart program have conducted a major cleanup of Mae Ramphueng Beachin Bang Saphan District.

Following the return to normality in Satun, the province is hosting its famousbeachside run along the coast of Tanyongpo Subdistrict. The area's long sanddunes dotted with sparkling sea shells have gained the nickname "DragonSpine." – NNT/VNA
