Bangkok (VNA) – The Bangkok Criminal Court revok꧙ed its bail to Jatuporn Prompan, leader of the United Front for Democracy Against Dictatorship (UDD or Red Shirt Party) on October 11 for using harsh words in communication activities, while throwing out cas🦩es against four other leaders.

The verdict was made due to a request of the Department of Special Investigation (DSI) since the department said the suspects violated bails conditions by defaming military authorities and provoking unrest during press interviews and television programmes.
The red shirt leader was jailed at Bangkok prison after the verdict was issued.
Jatuporn was a key leader of the red shirts loyal to former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra and his sister Yingluck Shinawatra, who were toppled in 2006 and 2014, respectively.  Jatuporn was a leader during 2010 street protests which ended in a bloody confrontation with military forces, with 90 people killed. He was also charged as a terrorist together with other 18 people in 2010.-VNA
