Bangkok (NNT/VNA)🅷 – Thailand has hosted the much-anticipated “Das Treffen 9” event, a gathering of Porsche enthusiasts, at IMPACT Speed Park in Muang Thong Thani, Nonthaburi.

The event, themed “Limited Edition,” showcased over 500 Porsche cars and drew more than 3,000 attendees from across the Asia-Pacific region, including car enthusiasts from Singapore, Malaysia, and Cambodia. The event also highlighted Thailand’s efforts to position itself as a tourism hub within the ASEAN region. “Das Treffen 9” featured rare and classic Porsche models, including the Porsche 911 Turbo, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary, and exclusive designs such as the Porsche Taycan Turbo S Celestial Jade and the Porsche 911 S/T. The event emphasized automotive craftsmanship and innovation, aligning with Thailand’s strategy to attract high-value tourists.
Miss Thapanee Kiatphaibool, Governor of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), remarked that Thailand is collaborating with partner agencies to organize activities like self-drive tourism, which not only enriches travelers' experiences but also strengthens international relations. Miss Thapanee expressed confidence that promoting events like “Das Treffen 9” will help Thailand attract at least 39 million international tourists in 2025, generating no less than 2.23 trillion THB in revenue.
Jakkaphan Jarusuvarnabhumi, the organizer of “Das Treffen,” highlighted that events like these build strong connections among car enthusiasts while attracting high-spending tourist groups to Thailand. The “Das Treffen 9” event transformed its riverside venue into a Porsche Village, featuring rare models such as the Porsche 911 (997) Turbo S 'Edition 918 Spyder' and the Porsche 911 R (991). Attendees experienced Thailand’s warm hospitality while witnessing the best of Porsche’s automotive heritage. The event serves as a testament to Thailand’s ability to host world-class gatherings, enhancing its reputation as a leading destination for luxury and experiential tourism in the ASEAN region./.
