Bangkok (VNA/NNT) - Thailand's Department of Business Development (DBD) is set to launch two projects to help low-income earners support themselves and their family.
In response to the Ministry of Commerce’s policy to assist the poor and low-income earners, the DBD has developed two projects to create jobs and promote employment.
The first project titled 'Creating Jobs with the BMA' will be a joint effort between the DBD and the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA).
The second one, which aims to create jobs for housewives, will be implemented in conjunction with Dhurakij Pundit University and the Thai Hotel Association.
The DBD is determined to help at least 5,000 low-income earners gain vocational skills and eventually be employed.
They will also have a chance to learn how to start their own business from experts who will teach them marketing, business development, business strategies and more. Those looking to open a restaurant or hair salon will be the first two groups to join a business class before it is opened to other occupations.
The DBD has also coordinated with financial institutions to provide loans to low-income earners who want to own a business.-VNA/NNT
