Bangkok (NNT/VNA) – Thailand’s first floating clinic has made itsdebut in Kanchanaburi province, lifting the country’s capacity to deal withmarine accidents and water related disasters. 

Thai Public Health Minister Dr. PiyasakolSakolsatayadorn visited the clinic, which was inaugurated last weekend as partof the “Sri Sawas Model” programme - a joint cooperation between 11 agencies

The Sri Sawas Model is an initiative to enhance Thailand’sability to handle water related incidents more effectively, making sureassistance and medical services reach those in need in a timely manner. 

The clinic is equipped with medical personnel and life-savingequipment such as respiratory aids, defibrillators, and medical supplies,making it able to provide emergency support when needed including transportingpatients to a nearby hospital.-NNT/VNA
