Thai media quoted the Deputy PM’s statement as saying at a seminarentitled "CLMVT - New Economic Drivers of Asia" held recently inBangkok. According to Somkid, with a combined population of 230 million peopleand an average economic growth of 6 - 8 percent, the countries are drawinginvestment from China, India, the Republic of Korea, Japan, the United Statesand the European Union.
