Thailand’s cyber security proposal approved

The Thai Ministry of a Digital Economy and Society (MDES) has disclosed that the 18th ASEAN Telecommunication and Information Technology Ministers Meeting (TELMIN) recently approved Thailand’s proposal related to cyber security.

Bangkok (NNT/VNA) - The Thai Ministry of aDigital Economy and Society (MDES) has disclosed that the 18th ASEANTelecommunication and Information Technology Ministers Meeting (TELMIN)recently approved Thailand’s proposal related to cyber security. 

Digital Economy and Society Minister Pichet Durongkhawerojsaid that the ICT Ministers from 10 ASEAN member countries had exchanged viewsand visions to identify key challenges, and emphasised the need to boost collaborationwithin ASEAN. 

The MDES presented key issues and challenges to the 18thTELMIN. They include cyber security, connectivity and mobility, smart cityissues, the digital economy, manpower and society.

The 18th TELMIN approved Thailand’s proposal and assigned senior officials toconsider it in order to prepare an action plan, he said.

The meeting took place in Bali, Indonesiaon December 5-6.-NNT/VNA
