Bangkok (VNA) – Airports of Thailand (AOT) expects Suvarnabhumi Airport to handle over 200,000 passengers on the first day of the New Year.
To ensure smooth operation, the AOT has increased staff deployment at key service points, including assistance with self-check-in kiosks and automated baggage drop.
♋ Passengers are also encouraged to register for biometric facial recognition for faster processing. Security measures have been intensified, with increased patrols and emphasis on passenger service.
Head of Suvarnabhumi Airport's executive team Keerati Kitmanawat said the airport coordinated with authorities, airlines and other businesses to ensure safety for passengers.
He said the airport is embracing the spirit of the New Year by offering gifts to passengers. Those travelling through the fourth-floor departure terminal can look forward to receiving Travel Kit sets as a token of goodwill.
