Pham Van Bay from Viettravel said the company has seen a 30 percentincrease of registered visitors compared with last summer.
For the first five months of 2015, more than 9,500 domestictravellers booked tours through Vietravel, a surge of 66 percent againstthe same period last year, Bay said.
Le CongNang from Vietrantour also highlighted the trend, saying summertravellers are seeking holidays in popular destinations such as Da Nang, Nha Trang, Phu Quoc and Hanoi.
In order to meetthe increasing demand, local travel agencies are offering a wide rangeof preferential programmes, such as discounts up to 14 million VND (650USD) for a number of summer tours.
