Traffic accidents kill 726 in May

As many as 726 people were killed and 1,491 others injured from 1,748 traffic accidents in May, according to the National Traffic Safety Committee.

Hanoi (VNA) – As many as 726 people were killed and 1,491 others injured from 1,748 traffic accidents in May, according to the National Traffic Safety Committee.

The figures represent the increase of 106 accidents, 57 dead and 165 injured against last month.

Road accidents accounted for 1,720 cases, 707 dead and 1,450 injuries.

For the whole first five months, the number of accidents amounted to 8,374 cases, causing the loss of 3,588 lives and injuring 7,339 people, a reduction of 944 cases, 147 d𝕴ead and 1,218 injured from the previous year.-VNA
