Trafficker of 21 kilogrammes of heroin arrested in Lang Son

Police in the northern border province of Lang Son have arrested a suspect allegedly trafficking 60 bricks (about 21 kilogrammes) of heroin.

Lang Son (VNA) – Police in the northern borderprovince of Lang Son have arrested a suspect allegedly trafficking 60 bricks (about21 kilogrammes) of heroin.

Le Hong Phong, born in 1963 and residing in Chieng Soncommune, Moc Chau district of Son La province, was caught red-handed carryingthe drugs at Ky Lua night market area in Lang Son city on September 16.

Phong confessed that he was transporting the heroin for selling.

Since mid-July, Lang Son city’s police have detected a groupof drug traffickers in Lang Son who coordinated with those from Son La totransport large amounts of drugs from Moc Chau, Son La to Hanoi and then LangSon for sale.

The case is under further investigation./.
