VNR Director Vu Ta Tung said the10-percent decrease is applied for passengers on the North-South trainroutes from January 1 to February 1.
For cargo transportation, a5-percent reduction is applied for cargo loaded at stations from Hanoito Vinh for transport to stations in the south.
Cement loaded infull train carriage for transport from central Da Nang city to northernprovinces will have a transport price decrease of 10 percent.
Meanwhile,containers loaded in full train carriage for transport between HaiPhong station and Dong Dang station in the north will be down by 20percent.
Last month, the VNR launched the selling of train tickets via its website.-VNA
