This forms part of the pilot activitiesunder the programme “Teaching and learning foreign languages in thenational education system for the 2008-2020 period.”
TheMinistry of Education and Training also requested schools participatingin the pilot English programme for 5th, 7th and 10th graders continue toexpand the programme to other grades to ensure the continuity in study.
At the same time, the ministry will continue to assess thecompetence of teachers of English and organise training courses toensure they meet the requirements of the new curricula.
