Saxophonist Tran Manh Tuan,music editor for the series of six concerts in Hanoi, Hue, andHCM City, said the organisers hope to get permission to perform thethree previously unreleased songs, Xin Cam On, Tung Chut Huong Cua Doiand Toi Se Nho.
Singer Trinh Vinh Trinh, Son'syounger sister, said if she is in good health she would sing Toi Se Nho,the song he composed in 1980, to express her gratitude to audiences andsingers who love her brother's music.
According tothe programme's director Pham Hoang Nam, the Bong Nui concert whichwill be organised at HCM City Opera House and Hanoi Opera House on March18 and 25, respectively, will be simple but poignant. The late musicianwill conduct the programme through documentaries about himself.
Two of the music programmes will be organised free of chargeespecially for students in Hanoi National University and HCM CityNational University with two more free concerts for the public in Hueand HCM City's Binh Quoi Tourist Park.
"When mybrother was still alive, he always had music activities with students,so the free music programmes for students in Hue , Sai Gon and Hanoiare necessary," Trinh said.
Singers who performSon's songs including Cam Van, Hong Nhung, Thanh Lam, My Linh, QuangDung, Duc Tuan and others will feature at the concerts.
Tickets for Bong Nui programme are being sold at HCM City Opera House,No7 Lam Son Square and Hanoi Opera House, No. 1 Trang Tien streettomorrow. Free tickets for other programmes are expected to bedelivered on March 20.
