The paper reported that at her meeting with Vice Chairman of Ho ChiMinh City People’s Committee Hua Ngoc Thuan on May 4, Heumann said thatVietnam’s ratification of the United Nations Convention on the Rights ofPersons with Disabilities shows the country’s strong commitment torespecting and protecting human rights and ensuring equality for allpeople.

The official also spoke highly of Ho ChiMinh City’s efforts to care for the disabled when being informed thatthe city always pays attention to social welfare policies, particularlythose targeting the disabled.-VNA

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.

With a tight 13-month deadline, the move is under a strategic and urgent policy to bridge educational gaps, train the local workforce, and shore up territorial sovereignty in some of the country’s most remote areas.
