US surgeons present medical equipment to Dak Nong hospital
A team of surgeons from the University of New York on Nov. 2 presented endoscopic equipment, worth more than 2 billion VND, to the General Hospital of Central Highlands Dak Nong province.

The equipment utilizes fibre optics as analternative to exploratory surgery, and can remove blockages, such askidney stones, when found.
During their three-day stay at the hospital, Professors Zelikovsky,Hanchey and Kasmin are expected to provide free surgery to four or fivepatients at the hospital.
The team will show the hospital’s medical staff how to use endoscopic technology for prostate fibroma treatment.
Director of the hospital Nguyen Manh Cuong said that the team willcoordinate with the hospital to provide humanitarian medical checks-upand operations as well as transfer modern treatment techniques to thehospital’s staff as of this year./.
