VCCI-ITB launches IoT Open Community for Vietnam

Hanoi (VNA) — The Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry’sInstitute of Information and Technology for Business (VCCI-ITB) launched theInternet of Things Open Community for Vietnam (IOCV) in Hanoi onMarch 15.

The IOCVwas founded with the mission of gathering social resources to develop open IoT,with free sharing among the Vietnamese enterprise community and consumers inthe context of the global fourth industrial revolution.

Large andsmall companies operating in many fields, especially information and technology,are participating in the project.

IOCV hasadmitted 21 members, including many enterprises and organisations ininformation and technology, so far including ITB-VCCI, CMC Telecommunication InfrastructureCorporation, Delco Construction and Investment Joint Stock Company and NetNamCorporation.

Speakingat the launch ceremony, Nguyen Quang Vinh, deputy general secretary of VCCI,called it an important event for the business community in Vietnam.

Under a draft to amend and supplement the Government's Decree 125/2020/ND-CP on administrative sanctions for violations of tax and invoice regulations, the Ministry of Finance has proposed classifying the failure to issue invoices into five different levels. Infraction levels will correspond to fines of 1 million VND to 80 million VND, depending on the nature and number of invoicing violations.
