VCCI survey studies business community's performance

The Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) will survey the performance of the business community in the country until April 20, the chamber announced on its website.
The Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) will survey theperformance of the business community in the country until April 20, thechamber announced on its website.

Through the survey, the VCCIplans to collect information about the firms' difficulties in doingbusiness, as well as their recommendations and then submit thesesuggestions to the State and relevant ministries in an attempt to createa favourable climate for the businesses.

Enterprises can download the survey form at www.vcci.com.vn.

TheVCCI said over the past years, the State, ministries, sectors andlocalities had shown great determination for developing policies anddrawing up supportive measures to help enterprises gradually overcomebusiness challenges and ensure their stable development.

Meanwhile,business associations and employers in the country had also taken theinitiative formulate policy advice and recommendations concerningreforms in the business environment and administrative procedures.

Morethan 5,000 businesses became operational again during the first quarterof this year, posting a 10 percent year-on-year increase, the GeneralStatistics Office (GSO) said.

This showed that the economy recovered and presented investment and trading opportunities for firms in difficulty, GSO said.

Duringthe three-month period, Vietnam saw over 19,000 newly-establishedenterprises starting businesses, with a total investment of 111.2trillion VND (5.19 billion USD), up 4 percent and 13.5 percent in termsof their count and registered capital, respectively.-VNA

Under a draft to amend and supplement the Government's Decree 125/2020/ND-CP on administrative sanctions for violations of tax and invoice regulations, the Ministry of Finance has proposed classifying the failure to issue invoices into five different levels. Infraction levels will correspond to fines of 1 million VND to 80 million VND, depending on the nature and number of invoicing violations.
