Venue of first credentials reception ceremony named national relic
The venue of the first ceremony to receive the credentials of a foreign ambassador to Vietnam in the northern province of Thai Nguyen has been named a national relic site.

Hanoi (VNA) – The venue of thefirst ceremony to receive the credentials of a foreign ambassador to Vietnam inthe northern province of Thai Nguyen has been named a national relic site.
The first ceremony of its kind of the DemocraticRepublic of Vietnam, now the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, was held in TienHoi commune of Dai Tu district on September 1, 1954.
At this event, then President Ho Chi Minh receivedthe credentials from then Chinese Ambassador Luo Guibo.
The recognition was announced in a recentdecision of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
Twenty-two other relics were also listed as ofnational importance in the decision. They are located in the provinces of DienBien, Ninh Binh, Nghe An, Tuyen Quang, Thai Nguyen, Phu Yen, Lao Cai, Ha Nam,Thai Binh, Tra Vinh, Quang Nam and Ca Mau.-VNA
Hai Van Gate, which sits atop its namesake mountain pass in central Vietnam, separating Da Nang city and Thua Thien-Hue province, has been recognised as a national relic.
A certificate recognising Hai Van Quan (Hai Van Gate) as a national relic site was granted to authorities of central Thua Thien-Hue province and Da Nang city during a ceremony on May 24.
Don Cao Dong Trieu (Dong Trieu military post) and An Bien Temple in Dong Trieu town, Quang Ninh province, were recognised as national relic sites at a ceremony held in the locality on June 4.
Quang Nam-based Dinh Tran Thanh Chiem, an important political, military, economic and cultural centre established in 1602 in the Nguyen Dynasty was recognised as a national relic site on June 12.
Ben Tre held a ceremony on July 1 to mark the 195th birth anniversary of poet Nguyen Dinh Chieu and receive a certificate recognising his tomb and monument as a special national historical relic site.
