🐠– Vice President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh met in Hanoi on November 11 outstanding teachers who are working in island districts and communes across the country, praising their efforts in the education and training cause.

The Vice President wished them continue working in their profession and overcome difficulties in remote areas to provide knowledge and improve people’s literacy in island areas.

She stressed that education and training is a noble profession and the Party and State always give priority to the sector, considering it as a top national policy.

The teachers expressed their determination to stay with their schools, students and profession at the country’s outposts.

🐻 They proposed the Party and the State continue to pay more attention to education in border, remote and island areas.

The teachers are in Hanoi for a programme held in Hanoi on November 12 by the Ministry of Education and Training and Vietnam Youth Federation to honour teachers with significant contributions to the cause of education and training in 2016.-VNA

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.

With a tight 13-month deadline, the move is under a strategic and urgent policy to bridge educational gaps, train the local workforce, and shore up territorial sovereignty in some of the country’s most remote areas.
