Vietjet has received full membership of the International Air Transportation Association (IATA), affirming the new-age carrier’s role and position in domestic and international aviation communities.

HCM City (VNA) – Vietjet has received full membershipof the International Air Transportation Association (IATA), affirming thenew-age carrier’s role and position in domestic and international aviationcommunities.

Prior to attaining membership, Vietjet hadbeen certified by the IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA).

IATA, the most professional, consistent andcomprehensive voice of the international aviation industry, actively seeks tosupport and increase benefits for all airline members through internationalrecognition, orientation for industry priorities, encouragement for promotionand innovation in the industry, cost management and cooperation campaigns forcommunication, training and other services.

On the same day, Vietjet also gotinvestment approval from the People’s Committee of HCM City to develop itsaviation technology centre in the Sai Gon Hi-Tech Park. The centre islocated on a 5.54 ha area at the R&D Training and Incubation Zone – the‘heart’ of the park.

The project, as part of a program todevelop the Vietjet Aviation Academy in the Sai Gon Hi-Tech Park, will breakground in March and go into operation later in December. Its first phase willbe a full flight simulator centre for pilot training, being run in co-operationwith aircraft manufacturer Airbus.-VNA

Under a draft to amend and supplement the Government's Decree 125/2020/ND-CP on administrative sanctions for violations of tax and invoice regulations, the Ministry of Finance has proposed classifying the failure to issue invoices into five different levels. Infraction levels will correspond to fines of 1 million VND to 80 million VND, depending on the nature and number of invoicing violations.
