Vietnam Airlines increases flights to Malaysia for football fans

The national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines will increase six more flights with an additional 1,300 seats to Kuala Lumpur on December 11 to serve football fans who come to cheer the Vietnamese national team in the first leg of the AFF Suzuki Cup 2018 finals.

Hanoi (VNA) –
The national flagcarrier Vietnam Airlines will increase six more flights with an additional1,300 seats to Kuala Lumpur on December 11 to serve football fans who come tocheer the Vietnamese national team in the first leg of the AFF Suzuki Cup 2018finals.

Three flights will depart from the capital cityof Hanoi, two from the southern largest economic hub of Ho Chi Minh City, and theother from central Da Nang city.

Together with two normal flights per day betweenHanoi/HCM City and Kuala Lumpur, from December 7-11, Vietnam Airlines willoffer nearly 3,000 seats for football fans.

Most of the flights have been booked and thenumber of people who want to travel to Malaysia to cheer the team is still onthe rise.

The carrier said it will plan more flights orarrange bigger planes to serve Vietnamese football fans.

It also coordinated with some travel companiesto provide package tours on December 11, which cover return tickets,final-match tickets, tour guides, meals and travel expenses.
