The national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines has issued recommendations for passengers who are affected by an ongoing strike by staff of Taiwan’s largest carrier China Airlines.

Hanoi (VNA) – The national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines has issued recommendations for passengers who are affected by an ongoing strike by staff of Taiwan’s largest carrier China Airlines.

The strike starting from June 24 has led to the cancellation of fights.
Those who bought Vietnam Airlines’ code-share tickets to fly to Taiwan by China Airlines were advised to update the latest news via the mass media and the two carriers’ official websites.

China Airlines decided to cancel three flights on June 24, including the VN 2032 from Taiwan to Los Angeles, VN 2030 from Taiwan to San Francisco and VN 2034 from Taiwan to Vancouver.

Vietnam Airlines is seeking ways to assist 45 Vietnamese passengers affected by the three above cancelled flights.

They were advised to contact ticket agents nationwide or hotlines 04 38320320 in Hanoi, 08 38320320 in Ho Chi Minh City and 0511 3832320 in Da Nang, or Vietnam Airlines representative in Taiwan: +886 33834688/886 922829757.

ꦏ According to Vietnam Airlines, the carrier is working closely with China Airlines to learn more about the strike and devise suitable plans to offer assistance to passengers.-VNA
