Vietnam army’s delegation visits Laos, Cambodia

A high-raking delegation from the Vietnam People’s Army (VPA) led by Sen. Lieut. Gen Luong Cuong, Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee and Director of the VPA’s General Department of Politics is paying official visits to Laos and Cambodia from September 18-22.

Hanoi (VNA) – A high-raking delegation from theVietnam People’s Army (VPA) led by Sen. Lieut. Gen Luong Cuong, Secretary ofthe Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee and Director of the VPA’sGeneral Department of Politics is paying official visits to Laos and Cambodiafrom September 18-22.

The visits are made at the invitation of Sen. Lieut. Gen.Vilay Lakhamphong, Secretary of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party (LPRP)Central Committee, Deputy Defence Minister and Director of the GeneralDepartment of Politics of the Lao People’s Army, and General Nieng Phat,Minister of State of the Cambodian Ministry of National Defence.

The visits aim to exchange and agree on contents and measuresto enhance cooperation in the coming time between the VPA’s General Departmentof Politics and the General Department of Politics of the Lao People’s Army andthe Cambodian Ministry of National Defence's General Department of DefenceServices.

They are expected to contribute to consolidating andstrengthening the friendship and collaboration between the Vietnamese army andpeople and their Lao and Cambodian counterparts.-VNA
